VERTEX was retained as a delay, productivity, and damages expert for a wind turbine installer on a wind farm project in Texas. The project included the installation of 63 turbines on a 300-acre site. VERTEX’s analysis included an evaluation of discrete impacts and their effects on the installer’s schedule and costs, calculation of lost productivity damages using a measured mile and comparable project study, and rebuttal of damages presented by the developer, including liquidated damages, demurrage, shipping fixture return delays, additional spare parts, special tool rental costs, and nacelle replacement costs.
