To meet a rapidly growing demand for residential and commercial space, MGL Partners successfully rezoned a 19-acre parcel of land located one block from the Fitzsimons Life Science District to allow for up to 970 multi-family residential units and more than 800,000 square feet of commercial space. VERTEX is providing structural engineering design services for this project. The first phase of multifamily rental is complete and fully leased. Phase 2 of the apartment complex, consisting of 5 buildings, is currently under construction. The apartment buildings are four-story wood-framed construction. The floors and roof are pre-engineered wood trusses bearing on 2×6 stud walls. The foundations are a ribbed-concrete post-tensioned slab system on grade.
